This is very true. It also distorts, it lies, it transforms you into a husk of yourself and robs of you the will to even keep fighting.
“The darkness that has consumed me has as well consumed the light around me…Still, I have the audacity to peek out through my fingers in the dim hope there may be a ray of light…”
My poetry is dark, I guess, but depression isn’t exactly happy fun ball time either.
