Your Suicide Story: Sharing Hope in the Midst of Loss

Your Suicide Story: Sharing Hope in the Midst of Loss.

My friend bkmoore, has a page on her blog that is dedicated to people’s personal stories of suicide. If you have a story, I’m sure she and others would appreciate reading yours.

Here is the text from her page…

“This page is dedicated to bringing suicide out of the darkness and into the light! If you have lost a loved one to suicide, or suffered from depression, this is a chance for us to carry each others’ burdens and share hope. There are no judgments here–I am in the trenches with you. On any given day I struggle with anger, fear, sorrow, and a host of other emotions, as I process through grief.

“But, I also declare the truth over my loss, and open myself to the reality of now being in the category “Survivor of Suicide”.  God is not through with my story and I long to be a witness of hope in the midst of sorrow. I will post discussion prompts, polls, and any kind of information that I deem useful on this page. Feel free to join in at any time and share your experiences.”

Unfiltered Perspective

Unfiltered Perspective

Read this very transparent post by a survivor of domestic violence and a warrior through PTSD. Powerful. Insightful. Thank you for letting down your barriers and letting us into your life, mistakenldy.

Transparent Honesty-One Strong Soul

First impressions are lasting. Made apparent moreso by some then others. Judgement is passed regardless of circumstance & time. People will SHOW you how they feel without saying it to your face in words. Their actions are the first indicator yet sometimes, cowards not wanting to verbalize (literally speak the words of truth inside) for many reasons. My strength and ability to accept real vs. fake is infathomable to many. I however consider this to be greatness. I see with all the senses. Just because an individual is given forgiveness never means something has been forgotten. Never mistake kindness for weakness. Never mistake silence for ignorance. Yes, this is redundant. And? Why waste a breath, let alone, effort in action to SHOW someone how much disrespect resides within you for another? People never cease to amaze me. The truth is hard to swallow or “accept” as some say. The…

Staying Positive

Staying Positive

Please visit my friend, Kayla Fae’s blog, This article on staying positive is great reading for a Monday morning. Loved reading your thoughts, Kayla. Thank you for setting my Monday off right!

Minds Like Ours

How does one stay positive in today’s world?
You can’t life a positive life with a negative mind. Remove the negative things in your life. Negative habits, negative people, negative thoughts about yourself and others. It may seem tough at first but I can assure you, it makes life so much better. I used to brew beer with my ex of three years, it was fun and challenging until the drinking got heavier. My health was taking a turn, and my moods changed with it. It wasn’t a healthy atmosphere for me and I wanted to eliminate it from my life all together. I wanted healthier hobbies that didn’t consist being cooped up in a garage with a group of people trying to start up their new business- great for them, but it wasn’t for me. I ended the relationship to focus on me and my kids. I got rid…
