I have a sign on my wall…”Forgiveness isn’t forgetting, it’s just letting go of the pain.” I like that.

We just talked about this in Partial today and I think it’s super important. We don’t have to forgive they person or people that have wronged us, we choice to forgive for our own peace. THAT’S the most important thing to take away from it.

So true, sass. I have a hard time letting go of anger at my ex-wife. I hate being controlled by resentment and bitterness and want to let it go so bad. Just seems like I’ve struggled with it for so long and it won’t give. Such a hypocritical struggle for a man of Faith.

I’m starting to write a short series on dad issues to see if the two are connected. Hopefully I’ll make some headway here.

Thank you for your comments and reblogging, my friend.

You’re welcome. I was there with everything w/DB..I just had to let it go because it was toxic for me. And I can’t change him. I don’t think it’s hypocritical, I think it’s honest and honesty had gotten lost with all these labels. You have to deal and heal in your own way. THAT’S the most important thing. {Hugs} my friend

Toxicity, ahhhh yes. Ridding ourselves of toxic relationships takes courage but helps us recalibrate our life compass. Thank you for being so caring and kind. I treasure that X

You are very welcome. I treat others how I wish to be treated…it’s never easy to change a pattern no matter how ingrained..it’s hard but so freeing. I had to do that last September and put it on my YouTube channel..it’s how I started to heal..then I started this blog. There is no right or wrong, there just is. I know I sound like Mr Miaggi, but it’s honest. Do what’s best for you in your way ❤

Yes it is, DH. And as always, a wonderful class tonight! Unfortunately this is a day to day struggle with me having an anger-based personality. I have held resentment against one person in my life and have not been able to let it go. I pray the Spirit brings me to that place. The pain isn’t as intense as is used to be but I know it’s something I need to let go of in my heart.
